He later received his D.M.D from the School of Dental Medicine at SIU Edwardsville in 1990. After completing a General Practice Residency at the V.A. Hospital in Milwaukee, Dr. Kirkpatrick practiced general dentistry in Janesville for 3 years. He then joined Dr. Paul Appel on the eastside of Madison in 1994, and took over the practice upon Dr. Appel’s retirement in 1997. Dr. Kirkpatrick had officially become a “Cheese Head.”
