Dr. Scott Kirkpatrick
Dr. Scott Kirkpatrick earned a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Southern Illinois University in 1981. He later received his D.M.D. degree from the school of Dental Medicine at SIU in 1990. After completing a General Practice Residency at the V.A. Hospital in Milwaukee, Dr. Kirkpatrick practiced general dentistry in Janesville for 3 years. He then joined Dr. Appel in 1994, and took over the practice upon Dr Appel's retirement in 1997.
Dr. Kirkpatrick has completed over 300 hours of continuing education, including 3 years at the Center for Advanced Dental Education. Here he studied comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for cosmetic dentistry, bite and jaw pain disorders (TMD), and complete dentistry. He is also a member of the Omikron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Fraternity.
A family man, Dr. Kirkpatrick has been married to his wife Kim since 1984. They are the proud parents of two sons, Ian and Sean and are active members of Door Creek Church. His many volunteer activities include Give Kids a Smile! charitable dental services, Cottage Grove Recreational Coaching, and Door Creek Church activities. Dr. Kirkpatrick also enjoys the outdoors, gardening, cooking, running and spending his free time with his family and friends.

Dr. Nicole Andersen
Dr. Nicole Andersen graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Biology, and received her D.D.S. degree from the College of Dentistry in 1998. She has developed a great partnership with Dr. Kirkpatrick at Door Creek Dental, S.C.
Dr. Andersen has continued her education at the Center for Advanced Education in Florida under the direction of Dr. Pete Dawson. She is a certified Invisalign dentist and has completed several other hours of continuing education in a variety of topics.
Door Creek Dental is thrilled to announce that Dr. Andersen has graduated with honors from the Hornbrook Group's distinguished national clinical training program in Chicago, IL. This hands-on program in cosmetic dentistry focuses on smile design and enhancement utilizing the latest state of the art technology and materials. Only 1% of dentists nationwide graduate from this type of advanced training institute.
Dr. Andersen was married to her husband Scott Andersen in 2002, and they are the proud parents of two children. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, practicing yoga, and swimming.
